(REF. 3) THIS EXAMPLE PERMITTED USE WITH GOLD AMALGAM: HEAT CONDUCTED THROUGH HANDPIECE TO POINTS KEPT GOLD MALEABLE.

MCSHIRLEY. GLENDALE, CALIF." Three control dials labelled "[left pointing directional arrow] FREQUENCY [right pointing directional arrow]", "INTENSITY CONTROL" and "BASE SPEED". Meter labelled "ELECTRO-MALLET/ INTENSITY/ D-1809"; scale labelled 0-2-4-6-8-1. "FOR/ FOOT CONTROL" printed on jack housing. "J" appears on mallet shaft.
