Canada: Part of a large collection of medical artifacts, archival material & trade literature transferred to CSTM in 2002 from the former History of Medicine Museum, Toronto, ON. This instrument is a piece of the first cardiology equipment used at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto during the 1950s. [Ref. 3]

All controls, connections, indicator lights, etc. labelled. "USE 115 V. 60 CYCLES ONLY" printed in red in upper right of casing front. Some internal components bear mfr's plates, etc. "MEASUREMENT ENGINEERING LTD./ LICENSED BY CANADIAN RADIO/ PATENTS LIMITED/ PATENTED 1938- 1956 INCLUSIVE" printed on black plate inside casing, visible through rear casing opening. NB: UHN catalogue no. not permanently applied to casing. Paper tag marked "979.32.3 b" removed from artifact for storage in Supp. Info. file 2002.0990.
