Canada: Awarded to Mr. Kenneth Jones for his and his skiff’s performance in a race held at the Port Credit Yacht Club in 1977. Mr. Jones won with ‘Nahma’ (2013.0026), thought to be the last remaining fishing vessel of its kind in Canada. Built by the Ontario boat building firm W. Watts & Sons, ‘Nahma’ is one of ten historic working boats identified as the most significant types in Canada (see 2013.0026 acquisition proposal for more details).
Fonction: Flag awarded as a prize in recognition of someone’s sailing performance in a race.
Technique: Pennant is a testimony to W. Watts & Sons’ Collingwood skiff’s exceptional design.

Ensign back: “Canadiana/ REG’D/ [image of maple leaf] / MISSISSAUGA – ONT./ FLAG 100% NYLON - MADE IN CANADA” stitched onto tag sewn onto hoist edge, “PCYC 12 X 18” stamped in black ink on hoist edge of flag below tag.

Fini: Iridescent material. Rectangular. One-sided printing. Printed blue, indigo and yellow; unprinted areas left white.
Décoration: Port Credit Yacht Club emblem consisting of blue flag, with 3 yellow dots and yellow tip, superimposed on a yellow steering wheel.
