Part of a large collection of medical artifacts, archival material & trade literature transferred to CSTM in 2002 from the former History of Medicine Museum, Toronto, ON. This item formerly belonged to Dr. H.B. Lane [1897- c. 1970s], who practiced in Toronto during the 1920s, and was on the staff of Toronto Western Hospital. [Ref.2] - Fonction

- Scale range is 94 to 110, divided in increments of .2 and labelled at intervals of 2. Also marked on casing is "b93 Max. 1/2 Min. [S/S & logo] Toronto- Certified". Arrow symbol, graduations on scale and labelled scale markings appear in red indicating elevated human temperature [98.3 degrees] UHN catalogue no. "990.6.1b" printed by hand in black ink on bulb end.
