USED SINCE THE 19TH CENTURY TO PACK COMB HONEY BUT DID NOT HAVE THE CELLOPHANE WINDOW TO VIEW THE COMB. THIS FORM APPEARED IN THE 1930'S AND IS STILL IN USE TODAY. FOR TIN CONTAINERS, THE COLOR BLUE WAS USED FOR LIGHT HONEY, WHICH IS SPRING-EARLY SUMMER HONEY.
