Fonction

To loosen & aerate a cut forage crop, to help it dry as quickly as possible & prevent loss of feeding value. As the tedder moves forward, the tines pick up the crop & throw it backwards where it falls on the ground

Technique

Example of 1960s form of hay tedder, with mechanism consisting of reel with spring teeth, ground wheel drive. Drum with short spring steel teeth rotates inside metalstrap frame.
