Nicknamed the "Portapack", Sony's AV-300 video recorder was the most successful device of it's kind ever sold. It could be operated by means of the self-contained rechargeable battery pack, providing 45 minutes of continuous operation with the camera. The videocorder could also be operated using household power by connecting AC power adapter AC-3400 [2002.0561] [supplied], or from a car battery with use of car battery cord DCC-2400 [optional] [Ref. 1] - Area Notes

"181078" stamped in white ink on base. "3352" crudely incised on base. "900-111-161" crudely incised in red casing wrapper. "SONY" and "+ SUMITOMO" on plug and cord covering, respectively.
