Markings include: "The French Alphabet Self_taught Drafting System, for Cutting Ladies' and Children's/ Garments. Copyrighted in 1889 and 1890 by J.H. CHOQUETTE, Fall River, Mass./ DARTS/ The size of d rt [sic] is determined by ascertaineng [sic] the difference between the bust/ and waist measures; marking in scale at number corresponding to said difference and/ drawing lines with dart [sic] piece of chart [sic]."
