This cover was designed to provide access to the inner workings of the computer while providing protection against outside dust particles when closed. Technical

The Silicon Graphics SGI Indigo computer was produced over a three-year span between 1991 and 1994. It was a high-performance computer used mainly for 3D graphics and was the most capable graphics workstation of its era. It was optimized for 3D visualization with hardware-accelerated three-dimensional graphics rendering capabilities. This machine was hence ideal for high performance computing environments. L'ordinateur Silicon Graphics SGI Indigo était produit pendant seulement trois ans entre 1991 et 1994. Il était un ordinateur de haute-performance utilise principalement pour le graphique en 3D et il était le meilleur et plus capable pour son ère. The object is made of a green synthetic plastic that is rectangular in shape and has seven grooves running horizontally across the length of its base. A model name is written in beige on its proper left side. The back of the object has grooves and slots for the object to fasten itself into place. L'objet est fait avec un plastic synthétique verte en forme rectangulaire avec sept creux qui voyage à l'horizontale sur la longueur de sa base. Un nom de fabricateur est écrit en beigne sur sont bons côtés gauche. Le dos de l'objet à des creux et des fentes pour s'assurer qu'il puisse s'assujettir en place.
