The Star Trek universe is considered to be one of the most famous science fiction universes in the world. Two Canadiens, William Shatner and James Doohan play the roles of two of the shows most famous characters of the original series aired as of 1966, as James TIberius (Jim) Kirk and Montgomery (Scotty) Scott. The Star Trek celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016. The Canadian Aviation and Space Museum is participating in this commemoration by way of the temporary exhibition " The Starfleet Academy Experience ", led and organized by Erin Gregory. A large number of companies have produced or will produce a large number of derived products related to this anniversary.
