Canada: Introduced in 2004, this is Nikon's first consumer-level sub-$1000 digital SLR sold in Canadian camera retailers such as Black’s Camera and Henry’s, as well as in big box stores such as Future Shop and Best Buy.

Technical: The Nikon D70 is a digital single lens reflex camera (DSLR) that features a Nikon DX format 6.1 megapixel CCD sensor with a maximum resolution of 3,008 x 2,000 and an ISO of 200 to 1600 and a rear LCD screen. The lens mount is the interchangeable Nikon F-mount type first introduced in 1959 which is backward compatible with older Nikkor F-mount lenses including F-type Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina lenses.
