This record is a recording of 11 witnesses that were living between the time of 1918 and 1933 and summarizes their point of view of France’s South Atlantic flight. This Artifact was commissioned by Air France in 1974 when it was preparing to create an exposition to honor a voyage that had been made to South America. - Function
-
This record was produced with the intention of commemorating the history of the French transatlantic flight accomplishments. - Technical
-
A sound recording is etched into the grooves of a record to record either music or voice tonality. When a stylus and tonearm glide over the grooves a corresponding electrical signal is generated. The signal is amplified and finally gets converted into sound waves that travel through a speaker and allow the user to hear what has been recorded. - Area Notes
