FISHER,/ BROCKVILLE, ONT." printed on package front; "EARLY BLOOD RED TURNIP BEET."/ A very early and popular variety, wherever grown ;/ roots dark red, smooth and free from fibres, sweet and/ tender. Keeps well through winter and spring. Are/ good for both early and late use./ CULTURE. - Sow as soon as the ground can be worked/ for early, and up to the middle of June for winter use./ A light, warm, rich loam is best, use fine, well com-/ posted manure ; sow in drills 20 inches apart, and thin/ the plants to six inches in the rows./ PUT UP BY/ A.L.
