This sign was used at the Duvernay Mine in the Val-D'or area, which was operated by Les mines D'Or Standard Ltd. The Val-D'or area is very important to Canadian mining since the discovery of gold there in 1923. Gold, copper, zinc and lead are still mined there today. - Function
