Technical

The first of these tubes was in use by the late 1950s. The r.p.m. was increased to 9,000 r.p.m. and the diameter of the anode increased. This type of tube now allows the use of the smallest of focal spots with which optimum radiographic definition can be obtained. [Ref. 3]

Red decal on tube reads "TYPE XC/ 2050/00/ NR./ 530830/ 150 kV/ [logo- "M/ C.H.F."]. "20708" incised into pink cylinder visible inside tube. "530830" etched (?) onto glass sheath. UHN catalogue no. "X969.497" printed by hand in black ink on glass sheath, near open end.
