- "NORMAL HUMAN SERUM/ POOLED AND DRIED/ Volume of serum before drying, 400 cc./ LOT 591305/ ISSUED JUL 13 1945/ To reconstitute to normal volume add 400 cc. of sterile/ pyrogen-free distilled water. Markings on bottle indicate/ approximate volumes./ Dried serum should not be reconstituted until immediately/ prior to the administration of the serum. In no circumstances/ should dried serum to which water has been added be stored for future use./ Prepared by/ CONNAUGHT LABORATORIES/ UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO/ TORONTO, CANADA/ for/ H.M. GOVERNMENT/ DOMINION OF CANADA/ from blood/ obtained from voluntary donors by/ THE CANADIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY" and "NOTES FOR ADMINISTRATION/ (Volume of serum before drying, 400 cc.) printed on paper label. "T.C.W. Co./ NO- SOLVIT/ U.S.A." appears in raised form on underside of bottle. Scale labelled 100- 400 cc. appears in raised form on bottle. UHN catalogue no. "989.6 a" printed by hand in black ink on lower edge of bottle.
