"TAPE THREADING/ [diagram]/ ATTENTION/ Please confirm that function selector/ lever is in STOP position before/ threading the tape." printed on plate fixed to inside of lid. Second plate, beside, reads: "CAUTION/ Keep the tape path, and other components connecting the/ tape, clean. This includes the head drum, tape guides,/ rotary heads and audio/control head. If these items are/ dirty, picture quality may be severely degraded./ To clean the rotary heads/ use a head cleaner saturated/ with cleaning fluid. Both are included in the accessory/ kit./ To clean the head drum, use a polishing cloth (supplied)/ or chamois saturated with cleaning fluid. Be sure to do/ this before and after operating the Videocorder in a/ corrosive atmosphere, near the seashore, or on a sea-going/ vessel./ [diagram]".
