FIRST MONAURAL STETHOSCOPE INVENTED IN FRANCE IN 1816:COMPACT & RUGGED, THE INSTRUMENT GREATLY IMPROVED THE PHYSICIAN'S ABILITY TO LISTEN TO INTERNAL BODY SOUNDS. MONAURAL USED EXCLUSIVELY C. 1820-1850 WHEN BINAURAL STETHOSCOPE INTRODUCED.
