MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. had it's roots in the H.R. MacMillan Export Co., established in 1919 as a privately owned lumber export brokerage firm. Expanding and diversifying over the course of the century, the company grew to become British Columbia's biggest forest products company, and an international force to be reckoned with.
