Function: PANEL CONTAINING CONTROLS & STATUS INDICATORS FOR COMPUTER SYSTEM, IN THIS CASE IBM S/360 (BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN MODEL 55).
Technical: TYPICAL FLASHING LIGHT DISPLAY CONTROL PANEL FOR MAINFRAME 1960S DESIGNED COMPUTER SUCH AS IBM S/360. S/360 SERIES OF COMPUTERS WERE MOST POWERFUL MACHINES FROM 1960S WELL INTO 1970S. THEY WERE LARGE MACHINES USUALLY IN AIR-CONDITIONEDENCLOSURES WITH TIGHT ACCESS CONTROL.
