TYPE SAMPLE OF HIGH TECH RAZOR AVAILABLE IN CANADA IN THE 1990S. The Gillette Sensor model was referenced in a trans support newsletter in 1993 as a good razor to use before putting on make-up. Diana Coltridge wrote an article of "make-up tips from an expert" in Gender Mosaic’s Notes from the Underground (NFTU) Volume 5 Number 2. In the article she explains, “I start by shaving with a fresh blade (Gillette Sensor gets my brownie points)” [ref 4]. NFTU “was a newsletter of Gender Mosaic, Ottawa’s longest running trans social and support group.” [ref 5] Digitized copies can be found through the Ottawa Trans Library. - Function
