Canada: C. 1905 THE FLUSH-TYPE SWITCH REPLACED SURFACE TYPE SWITCH AS FAVORITE IN CANADA. EVEN SO, BEFORE 1930, SNAP AND PUSH-BUTTON TYPE SWITCHES WERE STYLES MOST OFTEN OFFERED TO CANADIANS. THIS SWITCH WAS PROBABLY STILL OFFERED FOR USE IN OLDER HOUSES IN WHICH FLUSH-TYPE SWITCH COULD NOT BE USED. (REF. 1)
