THE FIRST COMMERCIAL AC SYSTEM WAS MFD BY WESTINGHOUSE IN 1886, FOR INCANDESCENT LIGHTING. AC SYSTEM ALLOWED ECONOMY IN THE TRANSMISSION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY, AND WAS FIRST USED IN CENTRAL STATIONS. ALTERNATIVE CURRENT CAN EASILY BE CHANGED TO HIGH VOLTAGE WHICH REDUCES THE LOSS OF POWER ON THE TRANSMISSION LINE. THIS GENERATOR IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE FIRST AC GENERATORS INVENTED IN 1888.
