THIS COLLECTION CONSISTS OF OVER 7500 ARTIFACTS, AND IS THOUGHT TO BE THE LARGEST & MOST COMPREHENSIVE IN CANADA. IT WAS DONATED IN ITS ENTIRETY TO THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY IN 1992.
Function: PROVIDES A POINT AT WHICH POWER CAN BE DRAWN FROM A WIRING SYSTEM.
Technical: LIKE THE T-SLOT RECEPTACLE, THIS DESIGN ACCEPTED BOTH TANDEM AND PARALLEL PINS, IN AN EFFORT TO ACHIEVE STANDARDIZATION. STANDARDIZATION WAS ESSENTIALLY ACHIEVED BY THE MID-1920S.
