- Settings on temperature control dial on top of iron read: 'OFF RAYON SILK WOOL COTTON LINEN HIGH'. Raised original mfr's marks at back of housing read:: 'KM/ KNAPP-MONARCH'. Mfr's plate on underside of housing reads: 'CROWN ELECTRIC/ BRANTFORD, ONTARIO./ CAT. NO. 400W5 VOLTS 115 WATTS 1000 CYCLES A.C. ONLY/ CAUTION! USE WITH BASE OR WALL RECEPTACLE ONLY/ CSA APPROVAL NO. 7267'. Original mfr's marks stamped into underside of housing (visible under mfr's plate) read: 'KNAPP-MONARCH CO. ST. LOUIS U.S.A.'.
