This barometer was once part of the short-lived barometer and standards museum at the National Research Council. It was thought to be used by H.F. Lambart of the Geodetic Survey for the 1925 Mount Logan expidition - the first expidition to the top of Canada's Highest Mountain. This assumption was made based on the National Research Council images of the artifact transfer (see ref) which shows the Hicks barometer with a tag from the Topographical Survey Museum Collection (see notes).
