Technical: THE ORIGINAL PATTERN OF OFFSET CYLINDER ARRANGEMENT CONSISTED OF 3 EQUAL DIAMETER CYLINDERS MOUNTED ONE ABOVE THE OTHER (RUBEL, 1905). THE PATTERN REPRESENTED IN THE MANN PRESS WAS INTRODUCED IN ENGLAND IN 1909 BY WAITE & SAVILLE LTD., WITH THE PLATE CYLINDER ABOVE THE BLANKET AND THE IMPRESSION CYLINDER HORIZONTALLY PARALLEL TO THE BLANKET CYLINDER. THIS BECAME THE COMMON PATTERN FOR SINGLE COLOUR OFFSET MACHINES.
