CENTRIFUGAL CASTING MACHINES ARE MORE COMMONLY USED THAN THE AIR PRESSURE TYPE. CENTRIFUGAL FORCE IS USED TO PUSH MOLTEN GOLD INTO ALL PARTS OF THE MOULD. THE GOLD IS HEATED IN THE CRUCIBLE IN THE CASTING MACHINE & KEPT IN A MOLTEN STATE WITH A GAS-AIR BLOW TORCH; THECASTING RING CONTAINING MOULD IS PLACED ON THE MACHINE. THE SPRING IS WOUND BY HAND & WHEN IT IS RELEASED, THE PORTION OF THE MACHINE CONTAINING THE MOLTEN GOLD & THE CASTING RING IS SPUN IN A PARALLEL MOTION TO THE FLOOR, FORCING THE GOLD INTO THE MOULD.
