Canada: THE IRONDALE, BANCROFT AND OTTAWA RAILWAY WAS LOCATED IN CENTRAL ONTARIO, BETWEEN HOWLAND JUNCTION AND BANCROFT. IT WAS STARTED IN 1884 BUT WAS NOT HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL WITH ONLY 48 MILES BUILT BEFORE IT WAS TAKEN OVER BY CANADIAN NORTHERN IN 1909 AND THE CANADIAN NATIONAL IN 1923. FINALLY CLOSED ALTOGETHER IN 1960.
