Commercial type ammeter for alternating current. Example of early Thomson H-2 type with range up to 400 amps. Moving Iron type Switchboard Edgewise AC Ammeter. Popular style on switchboards where many meters need to be stacked vertically. This form appeared before the turn of the century and remained popular for decades afterwards.
