HADLEY & SIMPKIN ARRANGED HANDLES ON THEIR ENGINES THAT COULD BE FOLDED UP DURING TRANSPORT (C. 1820), AND FITTED SPRINGS TO THE ENGINE CARRIAGE. THIS MODEL PERMITTED A SECOND CREW TO TREAD PUMP, THEREBY INCREASING THE NORMAL WATER DELIVERY. - Area Notes
