Light weight delivery wagon. - Technical
-
Example of light delivery wagon produced by one of the pioneers of automobiles in United States, Charles Duryea. The vehicle was produced much later after manufacturing of their first car in 1893. The two brothers, Charles and Frank, are the pioneers in automobile history in United States. They founded the first firm organized to manufacture automobiles, the Duryea Motor Wagon Company, after a lot of work to develop a good engine. In 1895 the brothers parted ways after fighting about who was the inventor of the first car. This light delivery wagon is equipped with a roller drive type transmission (friction type), typical of the Duryea's vehicles. It was produced until 1914. - Area Notes
